For our automotive and commercial customers, we have worked to the requirements of other global industry specifications, including ISO/TS16949:2002. Our inspection methods include real time Statistical Process Control (SPC) employing a modern digital gauging system. Whatever our customers requirements, we can tailor our system to their needs. When certification is required we provide our customers with a complete package of documents that support the traceability of our products from raw material to completion.
Quality Clinic
 Horst Engineering maintains a customer certified Quality Clinic. In our clinic, we evaluate any process or product quality issues. We also track all product and process quality related metrics. Our Quality Clinic is centrally located and has a quiet environment. It is outfitted with the necessary gauges and equipment in order to perform detailed root cause analysis on defects. We encourage our associates to STOP, THINK, and EVALUATE. The clinic gives them a safe environment to investigate issues and take corrective action when necessary. Each part that enters the clinic goes through the same standard process flow: 1) incoming to 2) evaluation to 3) disposition. The clinic is part of our lean enterprise system and has been the source of many excellent mistake proofing breakthroughs. Our clinic is one example of what differentiates our quality system from other manufacturers’ quality systems.
